Configuring multiple partitions in IBM eMessage

Configure multiple partitions in IBM eMessage to isolate and secure data for different groups of IBM eMessage users. As each partition has its own set of configuration properties, you can customize IBM eMessage for each group of users.

Installing IBM eMessage creates a default partition for IBM eMessage in the Unica Platform. You can configure more partitions for IBM eMessage. Each partition that you create for IBM eMessage operates in conjunction with a partition created for Unica Campaign.

Note: To configure multiple partitions in IBM eMessage you must configure corresponding partitions in Unica Campaign.
Adding new partitions for IBM eMessage requires making changes in the Unica Platform configurations for IBM eMessage and Unica Campaign.
Important: After you change the IBM eMessage and Unica Campaign configurations, you must restart the web application server that hosts Unica Campaign and restart the Response and Contact Tracker (RCT). You might also need to restart the Unica Campaign listener.

Be sure to back up your existing configurations before you make changes.
