G. Map the Impala datasource in Unica Campaign

This is the Fifth and final step to integrate Unica Campaign with Impala-based Hadoop data sources.

About this task

Mapping user tables makes external data sources accessible in Unica Campaign. A typical user table contains information about your company's customers, prospects, or products, for use in marketing campaigns. You must map any data sources that you configured to make that data accessible to processes in flowcharts.

Procedure

  1. Select Settings > Campaign Settings > Manage Table Mappings.
  2. In the Table Mappings dialog, click Show User Tables.
  3. Click New Table. The New Table Definition dialog opens.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Select Map to Existing Table in Selected Database.
  6. Select the BigDataODBCImpala datasource, then click Next.
  7. Follow the prompts to map the table, as explained in the Unica Campaign Administrator's Guide.

What to do next

You have completed the installation and configuration process. Unica Campaign flowchart designers can now select Impala-based Hadoop data sources in processes. For example, a Select process can query a Impala-based data source to target customer data for a marketing campaign.
