Configuring multiple partitions

Unica Centralized Offer Management has a seamless integration with Unica Campaign. During installation, if Campaign has multiple partitions, Unica Centralized Offer Management also configures the same number of partitions with the relevant data configured within the partitions. Post installation, if a user adds a new partition in Campaign, a new partition should be configured on Unica Centralized Offer Management.

Procedure

If the user adds a new partition in Campaign, perform the following steps to create a similar partition on Unica Centralized Offer Management:
  1. On the Configuration page, navigate to offer > partitions and click (partitionTemplate).

    If you do not see the (partitionTemplate) property in the list, use the configTool utility to import the partition template using the following command:

    configTool.bat -vp -p "Affinium" -f 
    "<Offer_Home>\conf\offers_configuration.xml"

    Replace OFFER_HOME with the actual path to your Unica Centralized Offer Management installation.

    The configTool utility is found in the tools directory under your Unica Platform installation. See the Unica Platform Administrator's Guide for information on using this utility.

    In the right pane, you see the partitionTemplate pane with an empty New category name field.
  2. Enter the name for the new partition, using the same name that you used when creating the partition's directory structure in Campaign.
  3. Click Save Changes.
    You see the new partition structure, with the same categories and properties as in the partition template.
