Creating an account on a Windows Phone device

There are several steps necessary to create a HCL Traveler account on Windows Phone.

Before you can connect to an HCL Traveler server with your Windows Phone, you must set up a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account on the device. This allows your Windows Phone device to communicate with the HCL Traveler server. There is no client software required. Supported applications connect to HCL Traveler using the Exchange ActiveSync protocol.

To create an account, perform the following procedure:
  1. On your device, select Settings > email+accounts > add an account.
  2. Choose advanced setup.
  3. If you are authenticating using internet credentials:
    1. On the Advanced Setup screen, provide your mail address and password, then tap Next.
    2. Select Exchange ActiveSync.
    3. On the EXCHANGE ACTIVESYNC page, the Email address, Password, and User name fields will be pre-filled.
    4. Change the user name to be your mail address.
    5. Leave the Domain field blank.
    6. Enter the server name (for example: my.travelerserver.com).
    7. The account name will be pre-filled, but you can change it to any other value.

  4. If you are authenticating with a Domino® user name:
