How do I configure an account for IBM Traveler on a Windows tablet device?

There are several steps necessary to configure an IBM Traveler account on Windows tablet devices.

Before you can connect to an IBM Traveler server with your Windows tablet device, you must set up a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account on the device. This allows your Windows tablet device to communicate with the IBM Traveler server. There is no client software required. Supported applications connect to IBM Traveler using the Exchange ActiveSync protocol.

To create a mail account on a Windows 10 device, perform the following procedure:
  1. Select Mail tile on your device.
  2. Tap on the Settings icon.
  3. Select Accounts > Add account > Advanced setup > Exchange ActiveSync.
  4. On this panel, enter your mail address and password. In the User field, enter your mail address again. In the Server field, provide the IBM Traveler server URL (for example, my.travelerserver.com). Add a descriptive account name in the Account name field.
  5. Tap Sign In.
To create an account on a pre-Windows 10 device, perform the following procedure:
