Updating the deployment manager after uninstalling a WebSphere-based server

After uninstalling IBM® Sametime® from a WebSphere-based server, remove the remaining Sametime references from the deployment manager. You must update the deployment manager after uninstallation if you plan to reinstall Sametime. Otherwise, the reinstallation process will fail.

About this task

After uninstalling a WebSphere-based Sametime server, you must update the deployment manager to remove the enterprise application and for Meeting Servers or Sametime Advanced, the service integration bus.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Integrated Solutions Console on the deployment manager.
  2. Remove the enterprise application associated with the Sametime server you uninstalled.

    Follow the instructions in Uninstalling enterprise applications using the console in the WebSphere® Application Server product documentation.

    Remove the application names for the Sametime server you uninstalled.

  3. If you uninstalled a Sametime Meeting Server or Sametime Advanced, remove the service integration bus link.
    1. Click Service integration > Buses.
    2. Select the messaging engine that is associated with the service integration bus link that you want to remove.
    3. Click Service integration bus links.
    4. Select the service integration bus link that you want to remove.

      Advanced Server
      • orgcollab_service_bus
      • rtc4web_cluster_service_bus
      • rtc4web_node_service_bus
      • MQTT_Bus
    5. Click Delete.
  4. Save your changes to the master configuration by clicking Save in the "Messages" box at the beginning of the page.
