If you are installing a new HCL® Domino® server for your HCL Sametime® server, use these general directions for the necessary steps to install Domino. This procedure assumes that you have a working knowledge of Domino administration.

To install a HCL® Domino® server:
Procedure

On the computer where you will install the Domino Server, log on as the system administrator (Microsoft Windows).

Run the install program (INSTALL.EXE), provided with the Domino server software package.

At the Welcome screen, click Next.

At the Software License Agreement screen, review the terms of the license agreement and check the box to accept the terms, then click Next.

Specify the Program Files Directory path, or accept the default, then click Next.
Make a note of this program files directory location, which will be used during the Sametime install.
Note: Do not check the box to Install Partitioned Servers.

Enter the Data Files Directory path, or accept the default, then click Next.
Make a note of this data directory location, which will be used during the Sametime install.

Select Domino Enterprise Server as the server type, then click Next.

At the review screen, click Install.

At the Install Complete screen, click Done.
