Uninstalling the Microsoft Office Integration feature

Uninstall the Microsoft™ Office Integration feature using the method that is appropriate for your environment.

If you use Microsoft Exchange

About this task

If you installed Microsoft Office Integration with the Exchange feature, use the Microsoft Windows™ Add/Remove Programs utility to uninstall the Meeting Integrator.

Note: During the uninstallation, a message might display with Error 1905. You can ignore the message; this error will not affect the uninstallation or any subsequent new installation of Office Integration features.

Procedure

  1. Stop the Sametime® client to ensure it does not cause conflicts during the Meeting Integrator uninstallation.
  2. On the Windows desktop, click Start > Control Panel.
  3. In the "Programs" section, click Uninstall a program.
  4. In the list of installed programs, right-click IBM Sametime Office Integration 9.0.1, and then select Uninstall.
  5. Work through any uninstallation screens and then click Finish.
  6. Close the Control Panel pages.

If you do not use Microsoft Exchange

About this task

If you installed Microsoft Office Integration without the Exchange feature, uninstall it using the same setup.exe file that you used for installing the Sametime Connect client. If you attempt to uninstall Microsoft Office Integration from the Control Panel instead of using the setup.exe file, the uninstall process fails and Error 1606 displays.

Procedure

  1. Open Windows Explorer and change to the directory where the setup.exe file is stored.
  2. Double-click the setup.exe file to start it.
  3. Click Remove to uninstall the Microsoft Office Integration feature.
    Note: If Error 1905 displays, ignore the errors. The uninstall process was successful.
