Session information stored in a relational database

Session information consists of data about all of the activities that take place during the establishment, maintenance, and release of any connection to the SafeLinx Server. SafeLinx stores session data in an ODBC-compliant relational database, such as IBM® DB2 Universal Database.

When you configure the access manager, you are prompted to confirm whether you want to use the configuration database to store session information. To enable the SafeLinx Server to access the database, you must specify the database location or the remote database server IP address and port number. You must provide the database name and the user ID and password of the database administrator. The access manager encrypts the administrator password before it stores it with the SafeLinx Server configuration.
