Configuring SIBus Intercept Mediator

The SIBus Intercept Mediator enterprise application contains the greenhat.sibus.agent module, which enables communication with HCL Quality Server. To enable the agent to communicate with HCL Quality Server, you must specify the location of the registration.xml file, which is provided with the IBMWebSphereSIBus.zip package downloaded from HCL Quality Server.

Procedure

  1. Open the Integrated Solutions Console of IBM® WebSphere® Application Server.
  2. Click Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers. In the Application Servers window, click the server name link.
  3. Under Server Infrastructure, expand Java and Process Management and click Process definition.
  4. Click Java Virtual Machine, and then click Custom properties.
  5. Click New. Type com.ibm.rational.rit.registration in the Name field.
  6. In the Value field, enter the path to the registration.xml file, that is extracted from IBMWebSphereSIBus.zip package and saved to a location.
    Note: The registration.xml file must point to a valid location of HCL Quality Server.
  7. Click Apply, OK, and then at the bottom of the page, click Save in the Messages box.
  8. Start the application. In Applications > Application Types > WebSphere enterprise applications, select the check box next to greenhat.sibus.agent and then click Start.

Results

After starting the SIBus Intercept Mediator enterprise application, open the Infrastructure Dashboard of HCL Quality Server and verify that the SIBus agent is registered. As soon as the agent is registered, it is ready to receive stubbing and recording rules.
