Uninstalling Agent in the console mode

When you no longer want to use IBM® Rational® Performance Tester Agent installed on Ubuntu or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system, you can uninstall IBM® Rational® Performance Tester Agent in the console mode.

Before you begin

You must be a root user.
Warning: Ensure to close the browsers and other applications that are enabled by IBM® Rational® Performance Tester Agent. If they are not closed, you cannot proceed with the uninstallation of IBM® Rational® Performance Tester Agent.

Procedure

  1. Open a terminal and change the current directory to the installation directory by using the following command:

    cd <directory path>/<installation folder>/Uninstall

    For example, cd /opt/HCL/OneTest-UI/Uninstall

  2. Enter the following command to uninstall IBM® Rational® Performance Tester Agent:

    ./Uninstall-HCL-OneTest-UI -uninstall -i console

  3. Read the details about the uninstallation process, and then press Enter.
  4. Exit the console mode by pressing Enter after IBM® Rational® Performance Tester Agent is uninstalled.
    IBM® Rational® Performance Tester Agent is uninstalled.

After you uninstall the product, you can reinstall IBM® Rational® Performance Tester Agent. See Installing the product in the console mode.

You can proceed to reinstall IBM® Rational® Performance Tester Agent for any of the following reasons:
  • To upgrade IBM® Rational® Performance Tester Agent to the latest version.
  • To reinstall IBM® Rational® Performance Tester Agent if an installation was not successful.
