Uninstalling the product in the silent mode on Linux

When you want to remove the product software that is installed on a Linux computer, you can use the silent mode to uninstall. You can choose to uninstall the software by using any of the uninstallation methods regardless of the mode in which the software was installed.

Before you begin

  • You must have completed the following tasks:
    • Closed the application.
    • Stopped all the other applications that are enabled by the product.
  • You must have the required privileges.

Procedure

  1. Open a terminal and log in as a root user.
  2. Run the following commands:
    cd <installation directory>/Uninstall
    Note: You can replace <installation_directory> with the path to the folder where you have installed the product.
    ./Uninstall-<product> -i silent
    Note: You can replace <product> with the name of the product that you want to uninstall.

    For example, to uninstall HCL OneTest API, the command can be as follows:

    ./Uninstall-HCL_OT_API -i silent

Results

You have uninstalled the product software from your computer.
