Extending Beyond standard relational database objects, HCL OneDB™ can be extended to handle specialized data types, access methods, routines, and other objects. HCL OneDB™ includes many built-in extensions that are fully integrated in the database server. HCL OneDB™ also provides modules, which are packages of extended database objects for a particular purpose and that are installed separately from the database server. Alternatively, you can create your own user-defined objects for HCL OneDB™.

Before you begin

Loading data from databases has the following additional requirements:

The data is in a database, including databases on database servers other than .
Connectivity information for the database server that contains the source data. The database server must support the or DRDA® connectivity protocols. The connection is created through JDBC.

Procedure

To load data from a database in Data Studio:

Open the appropriate cheat sheet by choosing Help > Cheat Sheets, expand the TimeSeries Data category, choose Loading from a Database, and click OK.
Follow the instructions in the cheat sheet to create the load job.
