Post installation action

Modify Windows user access to Link application.

By default, all Windows users that are logged in can modify files and folders used by Link application. To limit access to Link to a specific Windows user, assign the Link services “Log On” credentials and the Link files access privileges to a specific Windows user account.
  1. Open the Windows services management console.
  2. Decide Windows user to run the Link services.
  3. Modify the following Link Windows services “Log On” credentials by selecting this account option and providing Windows credentials for the selected user from step 2:
    1. “Apache Tomcat 9.0 HCL-Link”
    2. “redis server for hcl link”
    3. “HCL Link WEB UI”
  4. Give write access to all Link folders to the user which was selected in step 2. For the list of folders used by Link, refer to the "Data folders by Link" table in the “Installation prerequisites” section.
