The basic steps to follow for using a functional map are as follows:

Procedure

Determine the need for using a functional map.
Determine the input argument(s) of the functional map.
Enter the map rule that references the functional map.
Create the functional map.
Create the input card(s).
Create the output card(s).
Enter map rules in the functional map.
The Functional Map Wizard eliminates Steps 5 and 6.
