Design data storage

This documentation describes data stores used by Link for design activities, and data storage configuration.

For design activities, a Link installation uses these data stores:
  • Databases which are managed by a MongoDB server
  • Directories in a file system.
When you install Link, configuration information for each of these data stores is provided. This information resides in a configuration file.
Depending upon the operating system, the path to the configuration file is as follows:
  • Windows: <Link installation directory>\DesignServer\hip-server-env.bat
  • Linux (native and docker installations): <Link installation directory>/config.yaml
