Extending Informix®Beyond standard relational database objects, HCL Informix® can be extended to handle specialized data types, access methods, routines, and other objects. Informix® includes many built-in extensions that are fully integrated in the database server. Informix® also provides DataBlade® modules, which are packages of extended database objects for a particular purpose and that are installed separately from the database server. Alternatively, you can create your own user-defined objects for Informix®.

The mi_istats_setnlevels() function stores the number of index levels in the statistics descriptor.

Syntax

void mi_istats_setnlevels(MI_AM_ISTATS_DESC *istatsDesc,
   mi_integer nlevels)

istatsDesc: Points to the statistics descriptor.
nlevels: provides the number of levels in the index.

Usage

Call this function from am_stats. The database server places the value that this function sets in the levels column of the sysindices system catalog table.
