The Copy button
You can copy a selected component with the Copy button. This feature can save you time when you are creating a component. You can copy an existing component and then modify the copy with your changes.
You can copy one component at a time, or you can select and copy multiple components at the same time. You can copy components that are grouped under a project (filters, formats, maps, and queries) within the same project, or to a different project.
If you copy a component within a project, you must give the copy
a different name. If you copy a component to a different project,
you can retain the name for the copy or give the copy a different
name. If you copy multiple components, you must copy them to a different
project. When you copy multiple components, the components retain
their names.
Important: Devices are not
project specific. When you copy a device, you must give the copy a
new name.
