Configuring HCL Link for integration

Procedure

  1. Open Volt Config in Notes. Select All Settings.
    1. Set hclLinkIntegrationEnabled to Enabled with a value of "true"
    2. Set hclLinkIntegrationServerURL to Enabled with a value of the URL to the Link server.
    3. Set hclLinkIntegrationServiceCredentialAlias to Enabled with a value of the Alias of the credentials created in Step 2 (for example, "LinkTokenCredential").
  2. Select All Service Credentials > New Credential Set. Enter the "Alias" you chose in Step 1. Enter the username and password for acquiring the Link request token. Click Done.
  3. If your Link server is secured, you likely need to install the certificate used into your Domino keystore where Volt is installed.
    1. Copy the certificate used to secure the Link server to a local directory on your Domino Server.
    2. Open a command prompt and navigate to your Domino java directory (which should be something like ...\DominoServer\jre\bin).
    3. Edit then Execute the command:
      • Set the name of the certificate file.
      • Define the alias you want to use.
      • Set the path to the certs file:
        keytool -import -file “<somepath>/HCLLinkCert.cer" -alias LinkSelfSignedCA -keystore 
"../../jvm/lib/security/cacerts"

        You should see a message confirming that the certificate was added to keystore. If the certificate does not import, please contact your Link administrator to confirm the validity of the SSL certificate.

  4. Restart the Domino HTTP process.
    If you have the trace string com.ibm.form.nitro.service.*=finest enable, in the log file there is a message similar to 2021/03/25 10:42:51.240 FINEST Running scheduled task for detecting HCL Link service description changes... when Volt starts up. There is a log entry for each catalog that is registered.
