Administering Volt
The following topics contain information for HCL Domino Volt admins.
- Controlling who creates HCL Volt applications
  To configure who can create and delete applications, you need to modify the Access Control List (ACL) for VoltBuilder.nsf.
- Volt configuration settings
  Volt configuration settings are in VoltConfig.nsf in the volt folder of your Domino data directory (volt/VoltConfig.nsf). Use the Notes client or the Domino Administrator client to modify a configuration setting.

  HCL Domino Volt is an add-on to the core HCL Domino server. Volt runs in the context of the Domino web server (HTTP process). Therefore, Volt is affected by the underlying Domino server configuration. This topic covers some of the core configuration settings that may affect Volt.

Adding or updating HCL Link artifacts

When you make changes to the HCL Link artifacts, there is a slight delay (6 minutes) before they will appear in Volt. When editing a service, if a new version is detected the user is prompted to update to the new version. If the user chooses to update the service, all existing input and output mappings will be preserved.

Note: If the new version of the service no longer has an input or output parameter your service may be in error. Any existing mapping that references parameters that no longer exist in the service will display a red triangle next to it.

Review all the inputs and outputs and correct any items that may be in error. If you choose not to upgrade the service to the latest version, the service continues to operate as it did before.

Note: Link maintains the run-time artifacts of all service versions.
