Running the Fixup task

Run Fixup to repair inconsistencies in unlogged databases.

Using the Task - Start tool

Procedure

  1. From the Domino® Administrator, select the server on which to run Fixup.
  2. Click the Server > Status tab.
  3. In the Task pane, click Task > Start.
  4. Select Fixup.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • To specify options to control how Fixup runs, click Select advanced options, and then click Start Task. Select options to customize how Fixup runs, then click OK.
    • To run Fixup without options, deselect Select advanced options and then click Start Task.

Using a console command

Procedure

  1. From the Domino® Administrator, select the server on which to run Fixup.
  2. Click the Server > Status tab.
  3. Click Server Console.
  4. In the Domino Command field, type the following command and then press ENTER:

    Load fixup databasepath options

    where databasepath specifies the files on which to run Fixup and options are Fixup command-line options.

Results

The following table illustrates how you can use databasepath to specify databases, folders, and subfolders.

Using a Program document

About this task

Use a Program document if you want to schedule Fixup to run at a regular time.

Procedure

  1. From the Domino® Administrator, click the Configuration tab.
  2. Next to Use Directory on select the server with the replica of the Domino® Directory that you want to modify.
  3. Select Server > Programs and then click Add Program.
  4. On the Basics tab, complete these fields:

Using the Fixup tool

About this task

Use this method to run Fixup on one or a few databases.

Procedure

  1. From the Domino® Administrator, select the server that stores the databases you want to run Fixup on. If the Domino® Administrator does not run on a server, you can select local to run Fixup on databases stored on the client.
  2. Click the Files tab.
  3. Select the databases on which to run Fixup.
  4. In the Tools panel, select Database > Fixup.
  5. Optional: Select options to control how Fixup runs.
  6. Click OK.
