Messaging probes

The messaging probes collect data about messaging configuration, the messaging infrastructure, and message routing.

This table contains the names and descriptions of the Messaging probes that you can define.

Messaging -- SMTP TCP Port Health

Verifies that SMTP services are successfully processing protocol requests.

Messaging -- Message retrieval TCP Port Health

Verifies that the IMAP and POP3 services are successfully processing protocol requests.

Messaging -- Route Process State

Monitors the status of the router.

Messaging -- SMTP Process State

Monitors the status of the SMTP process.

Messaging -- Message retrieval process state

Verifies the health of the IMAP and POP3 tasks that are configured to run on the specified servers.

Messaging -- NRPC Routing Status

Using NRPC, the probe sends a message to verify that mail routing is working.

Messaging -- Transfer Queue Check

Monitors mail flow to individual destinations.

Messaging -- Mail Flow Statistic check

Monitors the amount of mail on a Domino® server and checks whether the number of mail messages in the MAIL.BOX file exceeds the number of mail messages that the router can process.

Messaging -- Mail Reflector

Tests mail routing to Domino® and non-Domino mail systems.

Messaging -- Mail DSN

Uses the Delivery Status Notification (DSN) method to test the mail flow to an SMTP mail system. The destination domain must support the .dsn extension.
