Displaying embedded outlines in Web applications

About this task

When you are designing a Web application, the following options define how an embedded outline displays in a browser:

  • "Using HTML" renders the outline as HTML and is the default behavior.
  • "Using Java Applet" renders the outline as an applet. This allows browser users to see mouse-over distinctions for items in the outline, including change of color to indicate a selected item, and see background images.

To specify how to display an embedded outline

Procedure

  1. Embed an outline in a page or form, or select an existing embedded outline.
  2. Choose Element - Outline Properties.
  3. On the Info tab, for "Web Access" select "Using HTML," or "Using Java Applet."
