Indents in IBM® Connections Docs are inherited from imported files and preserved in exported files. You can copy or remove an indent in IBM Docs, but you cannot increase or decrease it.

Examples

When you import and export .xls and .ods files, only left-aligned indents are inherited and preserved.
When you import and export an .xlsx file, both left-aligned and right-aligned indents are inherited and preserved.

Things you can do with indents

Select some cells, and remove the indent by either setting text alignment in IBM Docs or clicking Remove Formatting.
Click a cell and insert a row or column, and the new row or column inherits the indent from the selected cell.
Copy and paste an indent.
