But if you have a version prior to IBM Docs 2.0, before installing CR3 package, you must follow instructions in this guide to install and deploy IBM Docs 2.0.
Upgrading or migratingYou can upgrade IBM® Connections Docs from the previous two releases to the current release by using the installer or upgrade scripts. You can also install the latest release on new hardware and then do a side-by-side migration from the old to the new.

You can upgrade IBM® Connections Docs from the previous two releases to the current release by using the installer or upgrade scripts.

Before you begin

Before upgrading the product components, you must make sure that your environment meets the system requirements .

You must also make sure that your users cannot access the components during the upgrade. To disable the components, remove the route to the IBM Docs proxy server and the File Viewer server from the load balancer or IBM HTTP Server. After you complete all upgrade steps, you must activate the IBM Docs proxy server and the File Viewer server on the load balancer or IBM HTTP Server.
