Deploying IBM Connections Docs 2.0 CR3Welcome to the IBM Connections Docs 2.0 CR3 documentation, where you can find information about installing and deploying IBM Docs 2.0 CR3. IBM Docs is a collaborative productivity suite that enables you to work on documents, spreadsheets and presentations together in the cloud. If you have IBM Docs 2.0, IBM Docs 2.0 CR1, or CR2 already installed, to install CR3, you only need to download the IBM Docs 2.0 CR3 zip package from FixCentral and extract the package. Then follow the instructions in the PDF file to install CR3. But if you have a version prior to IBM Docs 2.0, before installing CR3 package, you must follow instructions in this guide to install and deploy IBM Docs 2.0.
Upgrading or migratingYou can upgrade IBM® Connections Docs from the previous two releases to the current release by using the installer or upgrade scripts. You can also install the latest release on new hardware and then do a side-by-side migration from the old to the new.

Before updating, make sure you have started all applications of IBM Docs.

Procedure

Run the command:

On Linux: {WebSphere_Install_Directory}/profiles/AppSrv01/bin/wsadmin.sh -lang jython -username {name}-password {password}-f {DOCS_Install_Directory}/installer/docs/tasks/start_migration_tool.py
On Windows: {WebSphere_Install_Directory}/profiles/AppSrv01/bin/wsadmin.bat -lang jython -username {name} -password {password} -f {DOCS_Install_Directory}/installer/docs/tasks/start_migration_tool.py

Note:

If you install IBM Docs by the installer, run the command on the node where you run the installer. The {DOCS_Install_Directory} is {IBM Docs installation path}/Docs, for example, /opt/IBM/ConnectionsDocs/Docs.
If you install IBM Docs by scripts, run the command on one node where the Editor Application is installed. The {DOCS_Install_Directory} is "docs_install_root" set in cfg.node.properties, for example, /opt/IBM/Docs.
