Deploying IBM Connections Docs 2.0 CR3Welcome to the IBM Connections Docs 2.0 CR3 documentation, where you can find information about installing and deploying IBM Docs 2.0 CR3. IBM Docs is a collaborative productivity suite that enables you to work on documents, spreadsheets and presentations together in the cloud. If you have IBM Docs 2.0, IBM Docs 2.0 CR1, or CR2 already installed, to install CR3, you only need to download the IBM Docs 2.0 CR3 zip package from FixCentral and extract the package. Then follow the instructions in the PDF file to install CR3. But if you have a version prior to IBM Docs 2.0, before installing CR3 package, you must follow instructions in this guide to install and deploy IBM Docs 2.0.
InstallingTo install IBM Docs, complete the following procedures in the sequence shown.
Pre-installation tasksA series of pre-installation tasks must be completed before you can deploy the IBM Docs infrastructure. These tasks include installing the system prerequisites and configuring both Windows™ and Linux™ operating systems.
Install IBM® ConnectionsInstall IBM® Connections 5.0 CR3 or IBM® Connections 5.5, including the WebSphere® Deployment Manager at the minimum fix pack level, and create a Connections cell to contain IBM Docs.

Install IBM® Connections 5.0 CR3 or IBM Connections 5.5, including the WebSphere® Deployment Manager at the minimum fix pack level, and create a Connections cell to contain IBM Docs.

Note:

Any patches applied to the IBM Connections WebSphere infrastructure should also be applied to the IBM Docs servers.
Ensure all Connections nodes are available and accessible before deploying Docs. Otherwise, Docs Extension and Viewer Extension deployment will fail.
If you install IBM Connections 5.0 CR3 or Connections 5.5, and choose to add CCM, to integrate with IBM Docs, you must also install IBM Content Navigator 2.0.3 FP3 or above.
During the installation and upgrading process of IBM Docs, make sure Connections is running and functions work properly.
