    An HCL Connections™ Docs deployment consists of six components:
  - Managing personal information to comply with GDPR
    As an administrator, you might experience users asking that their personal information be erased or corrected in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). HCL Docs can be integrated with HCL Connections Files or other repositories. Therefore, the personal information and access control are dependent on the integrated repository.
  - Accessibility features for HCL Docs
    Accessibility features assist users who have a disability, such as restricted mobility or limited vision, to use information technology content successfully.
  - Notices
- Planning
  Before installing HCL Docs, review the system requirements and deployment options, and then complete the worksheets.
- Installing
  To install HCL Docs, complete the following procedures in the sequence shown.
- Upgrading or migrating
  You can upgrade HCL Connections™ Docs from the previous two releases to the current release by using the installer or upgrade scripts. You can also install the latest release on new hardware and then do a side-by-side migration from the old to the new.
- Security
  You might need to refer to this section during deployment. HCL Docs supports WebSEAL. This section is for setting up single sign-on (SSO) if installing HCL Docs in the same cell as IBM® Connections.
- Performance tuning
- Troubleshooting and support
  To isolate and resolve problems with your deployment, you can use the troubleshooting and support information.

LibreOffice has replaced Oracle’s Outside In Technology (also known as Stellent), which was used to generate the thumbnail preview of documents in HCL Connections Docs 2.0.1. At this time, LibreOffice is not replacing the IBM Symphony document conversions that are used for rendering documents as part of the HCL Connections Docs feature.

Where are the changes?

Oracle’s Stellent libraries have been removed from the install packages and the installer will instead now install LibreOffice to support this feature.

Are there any changes in supported document types or fidelity of the thumbnails?

There are no changes in supported document types. Due to the upgraded conversion libraries, end users might notice an improvement in the fidelity of the thumbnails versus what was previously shown.
