Adding a database connection to a classification

You can add the database connection to a classification to grant access to the classification for other project members in HCL DevOps Test Hub (Test Hub). After the access is provided, they can use the database connection to create the database query and import the data from the database.

Before you begin

You must have completed the following tasks:

Procedure

  1. Log in to Test Hub.

    The team space that contains your project is displayed.

  2. Click Active projects > My projects > project_name to open the project that contains the test assets.

    The Overview page of the project is displayed.

  3. Click Manage > Security.
    The Security page is displayed.
  4. Click a classification for which you want to add the database connection in the list under Classification.
  5. Click the Add Connection icon Plus icon to add dataset in classification to select the database that you want to add to the classification.
    The Add Connection dialog is displayed.
  6. Click the Database Connection field to view the available database connection in the project.
  7. Identify and select the database connection that you want to add to the classification.
  8. Enter the password that you use to connect to the database in the Password field.
    Tip: You can click the view icon Plus icon to add dataset in classification to view the entered password and ensure that you entered the correct password.
  9. Click Add.
    The database connection that is added to the classification is displayed.
