Repository maintenance is a critical aspect of DevOps Code ClearCase® administration.

DevOps Code ClearCase data is stored in several types of repositories:

Information that enables clients to access repositories without needing to know the details of where they are hosted is maintained in the DevOps Code ClearCase registry.
Versioned artifacts are kept in versioned object bases (VOBs), which are implemented using an embedded database management system.
Artifact workspaces called views are supported by view databases, which are implemented using the same embedded database management system.

Note: DevOps Code ClearCase can be integrated with Rational® ClearQuest®, a change request management application that creates its own change request database. Your data administration plan should include the Rational ClearQuest repositories if your DevOps Code ClearCase community also uses Rational ClearQuest.
