Verifying your environment for the HCL Connections Mail Plug-in

To ensure that your environment can support the HCL Connections Mail Plug-in, complete this task.

Procedure

  1. Verify that Connections is working:
    1. Log in to Connections.
    2. Create, read, update, and delete items in each installed application, such as Activities. Verify that changes are made successfully.
    3. Verify that the information is updated on the Connections home page.
    4. Use Connections search to search all of Connections, and verify that results show.
    5. Use Connections search to search within an application, such as Communities. Verify that result show.
    6. Verify that changes can be made in the profiles database. Complete on of these steps:
      • On the Domino® database, populate the profiles into the connection database, and then and verify that the information is changed in Profiles database.
      • On other supported platforms: Change LDAP data in the Profiles database, and verify that the information is changed in Profiles. For more information, see Synchronizing source changes such as LDAP with Profiles.
  2. Verify that SSO or SPNEGO is working:
    1. Remain logged in to Connections. In the same browser, open HCL iNotes® or Microsoft Outlook Web Access. You should not be prompted to log in, and you should be able access your mail.
