HCL Compass CM API introduction

The HCL Compass CM API is a unified Java™ API through that you can access HCL Compass.

The HCL Compass CM API extends the Workspace Versioning and Configuration Management (WVCM) API, which is a standard Java API for configuration management.

You can use the HCL Compass CM API to build client applications that access product applications and to build new integrations to these products. Use the HCL Compass CM API to build client applications that:

Perform common HCL Compass functions such as retrieving and updating database records
Change the state of a record and programmatically perform other common functions
Run HCL Compass queries and browse the records in a result set.
