Setting test preferences

You can use the Designer Preferences window to customize the default behavior of your test configurations.

Procedure

To set the test preferences:

Start the Designer.
Click Window > Preferences.
The Preferences window opens.
Expand the HCL Compass Designer node and click Test Work Defaults.
In the User ID field, type a user name to use when running your tests. You can always change the user name when you run the test, but the name you specify here will be used by default.
In the Client to Run section, select the client that you want to run your tests against. You can choose the HCL Compass Client (Eclipse-based interface), for Windows™, or HCL Compass Web.
Specify the location of the client that you chose in the previous step.
Click Apply or click OK to close the window.
