Task flow: Configuring dynamic kits by using Sterling Configurator

This task flow leads you step-by-step through the process of setting up Sterling integrations in the development environment. After you implement the integration, you can preview the dynamic kits in the Deprecated featureMadisons store.

Before you begin

Read the following topic:Ensure that the following tasks are completed:
  1. Install IBM Selling and Fulfillment Suite V9.1.
  2. Install WebSphere Commerce Feature Pack 3.
  3. Enable the starter store enhancement feature.
  4. Publish a Feature Pack 3 starter store.
    You must publish the Feature Pack 3 version of a starter store: Deprecated featureMadisons, Extended Sites, or Deprecated featureElite.
    Important: Ensure that you select the Housewares sample catalog. The Sterling Configurator integration adds a Computer Accessory category to this sample data set. If you select another catalog, the sample data is not available for you to use.
  5. Publish Feature Pack 3 store enhancements

    You must publish the Feature Pack 3 store enhancements. Store enhancements that are provided with previous feature packs are not compatible with this integration.

  6. Deploy WebSphere Commerce search server locally.

    Sterling Configurator integration requires Solr. You must configure Solr for the site.
