Task flow: Setting up WebSphere Commerce search on a starter store

To implement and use the WebSphere Commerce search features for the Madisons or Elite starter store, such as search term associations and search rules, there are a number of tasks to perform. Refer to the following checklist to understand the tasks and the order in which to perform them.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have completed the following installation and enablement tasks:

• Ensure that your site is configured to support the Management Center marketing features.
• Install Feature Pack 2
• Enable starter store enhancements
• Publish the starter store archive file
• Publish the Madisons enhancements store archive or Publish the Elite enhancements store archive
• Enable the search-based navigation store function
• Ensure that your search server and index structure is deployed and built.
