Handling search term associations using WebSphere Commerce web services

Search term associations are handled using WebSphere Commerce web services.

Introduced in Feature Pack 2Search term associations are handled using the GetSearchTermAssociation service to evaluate synonyms and replacements. For example, if the synonyms of a keyword are used in a search rule, the Marketing services only interact with the GetSearchTermAssociation service to get the synonyms. You can customize synonym expansion to meet your business needs. For more information, see Using the GetSearchTermAssociation service to bypass Solr synonym expansion in WebSphere Commerce search.

Introduced in Feature Pack 3Search term associations are handled by using WebSphere Commerce web services. The SearchTermAssociation noun defines types related to a search term association, and the service data object (SDO) is com.ibm.commerce.search.facade.datatypes.SearchTermAssociationType. For more information, see the SearchTermAssociation noun.
