BigFix Client Compliance

This guide describes the BigFix Client Compliance and its solutions (BigFix Client Compliance Configuration and BigFix Client Compliance Windows (IPSec Framework)) which helps in maintaining the compliance status of the computers.

Introduction

BigFix Client Compliance makes use of BigFix Client Compliance Configuration and BigFix Client Compliance Windows (IPSec Framework) to meet the corporate security policies and best-practice standards when accessing enterprise networks which is achieved by adding an extension to the BES client. This enables the Self-Quarantine and Network Enforced Quarantine.

  1. Self-Quarantine: Enables network access control software (VPN clients, firewalls, etc.) to quarantine the computer based on the compliance evaluation results from the BES Client.
  2. Network Enforced Quarantine: Enables network admission control frameworks and technologies (Cisco Network Admission Control, InfoExpress CyberGatekeeper, Sygate Secure Enterprise, ZoneLabs Integrity, and others) to quarantine the computer based on the compliance evaluation results from the BES Client

With help of Self-Quarantine and Network Enforced Quarantine, you can check various statuses of computer that is patch status, security configuration, antivirus status, anti-spyware status and configuration standards.
