Installing the Network Capture Application
The following instructions can be used to assist the installation of your Network Capture Application software.
Package Installation
The following information describes the Unica DiscoverNetwork Capture Application installation package.
Failover installation
For failover, there are Primary and Standby DNCAs in the cloud but on separate host servers. The DNCAs should be on separate servers because if both DNCAs were on the same server the failover won't work.

Installing the SPR (Software Packet Replicator)

The SPR handles different DNCA servers during failover.

Procedure

Install the SPR by using one of these commands:

rpm -ivh Discover-spr-<build>-<release>.<distro>.<arch>.rpm

yum install Discover-spr-<build>-<release>.<distro>.<arch>.rpm

Where:

<build> is the version number
<release> is the release version number
<distro> is the linux distribution such as RHEL8
<arch> is the architecture such as i386, i686, i586
