Workflow
This is a generalized workflow for creating Anomaly Detection reports. Before you begin, you must review and decide the calculation mode to use for calculating Anomaly Detections.
Procedure
- To start a new report, click theCreate New icon in the toolbar.
-
To add an anomaly, click Add Anomaly Detection in the left
panel. Select the type of anomaly to add (Hourly or Daily).
- The chart and detail table displays the data for an unlimited number of anomalies. However, the chart can become illegible.
- To apply a dimensional filter to the included anomaly, click and drag a dimension from the Dimensions tab to the Add Filter box in the chart.
-
To change the focus range, click the date icon in the toolbar. Based on your selection, the
report is updated.
- By default, daily Anomaly Detections display data from the current day, and hourly Anomaly Detections display data from the most recently completed hour of the current date.
- You can change the date range that is displayed in the report.
- Optionally, you can filter the report to display only the Top N Anomaly Detections, which are based on absolute value of the measured standard deviation.
- You can also apply a visual shading to the report based on threshold values you specify.
- As needed, you can sort the display in the details table by clicking the header of a column.
- If you want, you can add a description for the report.
- To save the generated report, click the Save icon in the toolbar. Enter a name in the dialog and click Save.
- Export the report data as needed.
- From theAnomaly Detections page, you can also add the report as a component to an existing dashboard.
