Data Export for Data Analysis
Unica Discover Data Export enables flexible export and fluid integration of Discover session data to any external business application to create multi-channel perspectives of your visitors' experience.
Discover Event Bus
The Event Bus streams Discover event data from the Short Term Canister, the in-memory database, to a Discover pipeline. The pipeline can then deliver the event data to any system configured to receive it. The ability to send the event data as a stream in real time makes the event bus useful for integrating with real-time systems.

The Event Bus receives the request data from each page. If a page has multiple events, then the Event Bus receives a single hit.

  - Data Export overview
    Unica Discover Data Export provides you with the ability to analyze and report on data captured by Discover within various third-party solutions, including custom reporting tools and databases, warehouses, business intelligence environments, and web analytics products. Additionally, Unica Discover Data Export enables the creation of a persistent store of session data from your web applications.

      At the scheduled time, Unica Discover Data Export runs the specified task. At the time of execution, Unica Discover Data Export requires that basic Unica Discover services, such as Search Server be available. Additionally, the Discover Extractor Service must be operational.

      The Event Bus streams Discover event data from the Short Term Canister, the in-memory database, to a Discover pipeline. Event Bus packets

Event Bus packets are sent to the destination system on the following event triggers or conditions:

Start of Session
- Contains: hit-based facts
After Every Hit
- Contains: hit-based facts
End of Session
- Contains:
  1. Fact and event data that is derived from last hit of session
  2. Facts that are marked for reporting on last instance in the session
  3. End of Session trigger evaluation
    Note: Events that are configured to close a session are automatically sent to the Event Bus when it is enabled. The request data in these packets is provided from the last hit of the session.

At the end of a session, an "end of session" signal event is sent to the Event Bus pipeline. The UniqueID of the hit is -1.
