Upgrade Network Capture

About this task

Note: The upgrade process for the Unica Discover Network Capture Application is consistent across all versions of Linux™.

Procedure

Log on to the Unica Discover Network Capture Application server as root.
Stop Discover services:
```
./discover stop
```
Navigate to the /root directory, where the .rpm file is stored:
```
cd /root
```
Upgrade the Discover Capture software by using the following command:
```
rpm -Uvh <discover rpm>
```
- Example RPM: discover-dnca-12.1.0-1.RHEL8.i386.rpm
Verify that process completes without errors.
Start Discover services:
```
./discover start
```
