About this task

The purpose of the following scenario is to show how to create a calendar in the context of an example.

The scope of the scenario is to create a calendar to make the js_rome_1 job stream run during particular days that the run cycle does not define. The job stream runs during week days, but because of a new release, the company must run the job stream on Sunday, November 27, 2022 as an exception.

Procedure

  1. Create a calendar:
    1. From the Design menu, click Workload Designer page, and then select the engine.
    2. In Explore area, click Create new + and choose Calendar.
    3. In General Info, type the name Release.
    4. In Date selection, select the day 27th of November.
    5. Save.
  2. Add the calendar to the js_rome_1 job stream:
    1. In Explore area, click on the job stream card and select the js_rome_1 job stream.
    2. In the Workspace area, click on Run cycles.
    3. In the Rule section, in Calendar, search for and select the calendar named Release.
  3. Save.

Results

You created a calendar that makes the job stream run on November 27, 2022 as an exception.
