Cryptographic Support Setup

The Cryptographic Support Setup dialog allows you to specify the parameters for using a smart card for Client Authentication on Linux (32-bit Intel platform) in Z and I Emulator for Web.  The browse button is enabled only for a Linux client.

For Z and I Emulator for Web to work with smart cards on Linux, in addition to installing the smart card drivers and PKCS11 library for the driver; you also need to download the PKS11 library from the dashboard page and setup LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable to include the directory where the shared libraries reside.

The following options are used to specify the handling of cryptographic support:

Cryptographic Support Module Name Type the fully qualified path and file name of the driver (such as /dev/sc1) for the cryptographic device that you are using (for example, a smart card reader).

Cryptographic Token Label This field is optional. When the driver for the cryptographic device that you are using supports more than one slot, use this field to specify the slot that you want to use. You can type in either:

  • The label (name) associated with the cryptographic token (smart card) that is inserted in the slot; or
  • The number of the slot (such as 0 or 1).

Cryptographic Token Password Type the password for the cryptographic token (such as a smart card) that you are using.
