<type> element
The <type> element declares an imported type (such as Properties
)
that represents a Java™ class
(such as java.util.Properties
). After you have declared
the type, you can create variables based on the type, create an instance
of the Java™ class, and call
methods on the instance (see Creating an imported type for a Java class).
A type can also be used for directly calling static methods (no need to instantiate).
The <type> element must occur inside a <import> element.
