Controlling the use of color (UNIX system and Linux)

About this task

You can control the use of color in the History Browser event log.

Procedure

  1. Click View > Options > Display. The colors being used are displayed in the Sample pane.
  2. To use colors in alternate rows of the event log:
    1. In Colors, do one of the following:
      • For colors in alternate even rows, select Even rows.
      • For colors in alternate odd rows, select Odd rows.
    2. Click Change.
      The Choose a color window opens.
    3. Click one of the color icons to choose a color different from the one that is displayed in the Sample pane.
    4. Click OK.
      The effect appears in the Sample pane.
    5. If you are not satisfied with the result in the Sample pane, repeat Step 2.c and Step 2.d to select another color.
  3. To disable the use of colors in the event log, follow the procedure in Step 2 for both even rows and odd rows and click the white icon for the color of both rows.
  4. If you are satisfied with the color settings, click OK in the Options window.

Results

The color settings are applied to the event log.
