About accessing Linux or UNIX dynamic views from Windows hosts

A set of vendor products for accessing Linux® or UNIX file systems from Windows® computers is supported. If your organization uses one of these products, you can complete the following tasks to access Linux or UNIX dynamic views from Windows computers:

  1. On Linux or the UNIX system, create the Linux or UNIX view with the proper text mode, as determined by your system administrator.
  2. On the Windows system, use Region Synchronizer to import the Linux or UNIX view tag of the view into your Windows network region.
  3. Start the dynamic view or add a shortcut to the view in HCL VersionVault Windows Explorer.
