HCL VersionVault and HCL VersionVault MultiSite provide a command-line interface that enables access to all product functions. The command line processor supports interactive use, and can also be driven by various scripting languages.

This command reference provides information about the following types of commands:

cleartool and rcleartool subcommands as well as the cleartool and rcleartool commands themselves
File formats, environment variables, metadata
Those multitool subcommands that can be invoked through cleartool
Other utility programs that are included with HCL VersionVault and can be invoked from the command line on Windows or Linux
