Uninstalling the product

The Uninstall option in IBM Installation Manager enables you to uninstall packages from a single installation location. You can uninstall all installed packages from every package group.

Before you begin

You must log in with a user account that has the same privileges as the account that was used to install the packages that you want to uninstall.

About this task

You can uninstall packages from a single package group, or you can uninstall all installed packages from every package group.

Procedure

  1. Close any programs that you installed with Installation Manager.
  2. On the Start page, click Uninstall.
  3. In the Uninstall wizard, select the packages that you want to uninstall. If you want to uninstall every package from every package group on your workstation, click Select all.
  4. Click Next.
  5. On the Summary page, review the packages that you selected to uninstall. Click Back if you want to make changes. If you are satisfied with your choices, click Uninstall.
    A progress indicator shows the percentage of the uninstallation completed.
  6. When the uninstallation process is completed, the Complete page opens and confirms success of the uninstallation process.
