SMB server products

HCL supports several SMB server products that make Linux® and UNIX® file systems accessible from Windows® computers.

About this task

If you use an SMB server product, you must do the following:

• Install it on each HCL host running Linux or the UNIX system that supports a VOB or view that you would like to access from Windows computers
• Configure each installation to meet the special requirements of HCL VersionVault.
