Create a copy of the HCL Cognos® data model for the new Campaign reports.
You must ensure that the model references the correct data source
name.
About this task
Complete the following steps if you plan to use Campaign reports
in multiple partitions:
Procedure
- Verify that you created an IBM® Cognos data source for this partition.
If you have not yet created the data source for this partition, see Creating JDBC data sources.
- Use Framework Manager to open the Campaign project (cpf
file), the CampaignModel.cpf file.
- Use Save As to copy the CampaignModel project
and give it a new name that indicates the partition where it is used.
For example, CampaignModelPartition2.
- In the Project Viewer, expand the Data
Sources node and select CampaignDS.
If the Properties pane does not appear
by default, select View > Properties.
- Click in the Name field and change
the value from the default data source (CampaignDS)
to the correct data source name for this Campaign partition.
For example, CampaignDS_partition2.
- Click in the Content Manager Datasource field
and change the value of the default data source (CampaignDS)
to the same value that you specified in the previous step.
In
this example, the value is CampaignDS_partition2.
- Save your changes.
- Publish the package to the content store and when the publish
wizard displays the Select Location Type window, browse
to and specify the folder where you imported the reports archive in Cognos Connection in the previous task.
In the example, the folder is Campaign Partition
2.
